Dr Mallett
  Dr. Mallett received his BA in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin, graduating Phi Beta Kappa in 1974. He received his degree in Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in June 1978. He continued his medical education, completing a three-year residency in Family Practice with the McLennan County Medical Foundation in Waco, Texas. This program is the oldest Family Practice residency west of the Mississippi River, and one of the largest in Texas. During his training, he also served as Chief Resident.
  Following his formal training, Dr. Mallett established his medical practice in Bastrop, Texas.
In 1990, he moved his practice to South Austin.
  Dr. Mallett has been on staff at South Austin Medical Center for 22 years, serving on the Board of Directors from 1995 to 1999. He takes great pride in maintaining his Board Certification in Family Medicine and has done so for the past 28 years.
